Mrs. HeyFairfield and I had lunch at Centro recently. I haven't been to Centro's in Fairfield in years, so I was not sure what to expect. I have been to the Greenwich location and have always enjoyed the food and service.

The outside seating wasn't open yet, but inside it is nice and cozy. The staff is friendly and attentive.

My wife ordered a chicken panini sandwich. Not only was the sandwich larger than expected, she did find it very tasty even if the chicken was a little dry. I had the Cheese Ravioli Cortivallo (tomato sauce with sausage). Again the portion was much larger than expected, no complaint from me and my large appetite. It was fantastic, and would definitely recommend it! 

Since we had a gift certificate, we decided to splurge for dessert. Boy am I glad we did. We had the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake. It was fantastic! Sweet, not too rich and very chocolaty! Cool Definitely save room for dessert.

I LOVE Centro!  First time was a Saturday nite in 2007, to break the Yom 

Kippur fast!  One of my good friends suggested we go there for dinner, &  I

was like "why not?"   I can't recall if we started with an appetizer or salads, but

the dish I ordered was delicious…..orichiette w/ chicken sausage & spinach…oh 

my god it was so GOOD!   Considering I had fasted most of the day, there were

no leftovers! Laugh     Second time was Memorial Day weekend last year for a

"blind date"  (which went well by the way),  & I enjoyed the same exact dish

mentioned above….my date ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo which he thought 

was okay but after trying some of my dish he wished that he had ordered 

what I did! Wink    Would love to go there for lunch at some point….
