Supreme Court rules in favor of gun rights, citizens prepare for invasion.

Last week, on Tony Hwang’s Facebook page, a little bit of discussion started about the Supreme Court’s recent ruling in favor of gun rights. Full disclosure, I do not own a handgun, nor would I feel safer with one. However, I do believe citizens should be able to own and use firearms if qualified to do so. There are many hunters and target shooters who have lifelong hobbies, and that shouldn’t be taken away.

However I do feel that guns be more difficult to obtain. That means the transaction needs to be more regulated, and the punishment for possessing a non-registered firearm should be stiffer. But this isn’t about all that. It is about some off the wall news that transpired recently in Fairfield.

Through the fine folks at The Weekly Vice, I heard that one Dane Eisenman, recently crossed the law for allegedly purchasing a firearm. According to The Weekly Vice story, Mr. Eisenman was simply buying a rifle to protect himself from an imminent alien invasion. Is the Supreme Court helping to protect Americans from an impending alien takeover? Or is this just one more of the people who’s rights the NRA spends millions of dollars protecting?
