Hey Fairfield, where is your favorite place to sled?

I took a trip back to my youth today and headed over to Sturges Park to show my daughter a real sledding hill. Naturally, it seems smaller, and the only things that have changed are the No Parking signs on Browns Lane (boo!) and the big sign “Sled at your own risk”

So what’s your favorite sledding hill in Fairfield? Send me a video or picture and I’ll post it!

When I was younger my dad took me and my sister to the golf course at Brooklawn…..you would go in thru the entrance on Cornell Road opposite the service road leading to the maintentance building for the club :D Those are really good hills there, but you got to be careful of the trees! Years ago “in the stone ages” when my dad was a kid living in the North End of Bridgeport they would trek over to Brooklawn (to the other side which is on the corner of Brooklawn Ave and Collingwood) where there’s another big hill there, for sledding, and also there was a pond for ice hockey as well. Can’t do that now either.

Before they put up that goal post, the “big hill” at Fairfield U. was another place to trek to for sledding, now that hill is FUN!!
