“I’m just happy we could pull this together in such a short time,” said Hwang. “It is an important cause.”
Band Together was founded by Rob Fried and Jerry Vigorito, with the vision to create great musical events that raise spirits and are fun to attend. Their goal is to unite a community of talented local musicians with people and organizations interested in raising funds for people in need. At least 15 local musicians joined together for this unique event.

Rep. Hwang states the concert has raised nearly $10,000. North Stratfield School’s Cub Scout Pack 95 alone donated $400 to the Red Cross during the event. The money was raised by the scouts during their annual Pine Wood Derby earlier on Saturday.
