School systems are a big deal to some people. My parents moved from one town to another to be a part of a better school system. I was lucky. I got a great education from public school that I didn’t fully appreciate until I went to college. As a parent, the quality of public education continues to be of concern to me as we raise our daughter.
Fairfield has a high quality school system, and my own experience with our daughter has been outstanding. I look forward to our daughter continuing to learn and grow and have complete confidence that she will be prepared for whatever she wishes to do when she graduates from High School. What I forget sometimes, though, is the fact that Fairfield has SEVEN private schools, two more private schools at the High School level and two Universities…in the same town!
Choices are a good thing, aren’t they? The private schools here in Fairfield offer a variety of different perspectives to address the different needs that families have. Do they address all of them? Probably not, but your odds of having your child take a bus to another town for a private school are much lower if you decide to go down that road.
And how many smaller towns have TWO universities?
But I think I covered the college stuff in another post….in an earlier decade.
To get a full and detailed description of our outstanding public and private schools, take a look at the town website at www.fairfieldct.org. On the left margain, click on education. It’s all there.
