On Saturday, November 14 from 10am – 2pm come build and paint a wooden model train building which will be displayed in Christmas Town as part of the Fairfield Museum’s Holiday Express Train Show. Recommended for children ages 8 and up, participants will create a one-of-a-kind model train building and be able to show it off as part of the museum’s annual train show. Cost is $15 per child, with a $3 discount for members of the Fairfield Museum. Adult supervision is required. About the Holiday Express Train Show:
Opening Night: Friday, December 4 7pm – 9pm
Open Weekends December 5 – January 3 from 12pm – 4pm and open during school vacation week: December 28 – 31 from 10am – 4pm
Following Fairfield’s annual tree lighting ceremony, come warm up at the museum and enjoy the start of the Holiday Express Train Show. Come be amazed by miniature worlds in holiday scenes created by local train hobbyists. The show provides a unique, interactive family experience for all ages with opportunities to purchase great holiday gifts for train enthusiasts in the Fairfield Museum Shop. Special Opening Night Admission: $3 per person suggested donation, kids ages 5 and under are free of charge. Weekends and vacation week: $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, Free for kids ages 5 and under and members of the Fairfield Museum.
