I heard from a friend this morning the Jacky Durrell had passed away. I remember Jacky fondly. She had a brilliant smile and seemed to be at ease with whomever’s company she was with. Her accomplishments in Fairfield were many, from serving as the Board of Education Chairwoman to her tenure as First Selectman from 1983-1993. She gave an immense amount of her personal energy to the town, during her elected time and after. She will be missed.
